If I had to give our family a symbol, I think it would have to be the acorn. My business Fairyfolk started with a small collection of felted acorns. Our new home, the Sunny House, has an oak tree next to the drive and we love to hear the ‘plonk’ as acorns drop onto the roof of my car. I have always loved the saying ‘Mighty Oaks from tiny acorns grow’. So, of course, every year, our Christmas tree has to have an acorn garland.

HOW TO MAKE AN ACORN GARLAND…

Teddy is the acorn garland expert in our home. When he started making them with me, he was just a little fellow and it was me who actually did most of the making. Now, he is, as he says, ‘Big!’ and can make just about the whole thing himself. His favorite part is using my drill to drill the holes in the acorns.

Happy Christmas crafting,

Blessings and magic,

Donni
